Classes

Open 5D $100 fee per run – Open to all, enter as many times as you like (Open Only).
Youth 5D $25 fee per run – 18 or under as of Jan. 1, 2025 (roll only must enter open class.)
Senior 5D $25 fee per run - 50 or older day of race (roll only must enter open class.)
Futurity – $50 fee, 2D 1 second splits $1000 added. Futurity eligible horses for the 2025 season (roll only must enter open class, based on 1st run.)
Derby – $50 fee, 2D .500 second splits $500 added. Derby eligible horses for the 2025 season (roll only must enter open class, based on 1st run.)
Peewee $15 fee $200 added – 10 years and under as of Jan. 1, 2025 (no cross entry with any other classes)
Novice $25 entry fee – Must run, novice horses cannot run in any other class. This class is for novice horses that have not won $500 or a rider that has not won $500 as of September 20, 2025.
Office fee: $10 per Open run. PeeWee and Novice $5.00.
Entries

August 1st through September 20, 2025
Entry system is Saddlebook. Pay online or mail a check, checks must be received by the 20th of September no exceptions. The rider pays all Saddlebook and credit card fees. Entries not paid by the 20th will be deleted.
Futurity and Derby Horse papers must be uploaded to saddle book at the time of entry.
Top Shelf Breeders incentive based on 1st run only. Enter Top Shelf Breeders on Saddlebook. Different from SMTM.
Extreme Mini Million Enter on Saddlebook. Different from SMTM
Entries will be accepted at race, space permitted with a $10 late fee.
Time Runs are paid for at the gate prior to each set. $5 a minute.
Everyone runs together – Open, PeeWee, Novice
Stalls
Limited Stalls available on a 1st paid 1st reserved. Stall requests must be paid before they are reserved. No Refunds.
Stalls that are reserved and paid for may be sold by the buyer. (Not through the office) No Stall Refunds.
Stalls are reserved and paid through Viki Friedrich with credit card and print out form and mail to Viki with payment.

Tying overnight and self-penning is not allowed at Rocky Top Arena.
Draw outs.
If you draw out before September 20,2025, you will be refunded in full.
If you draw out between September 20,2025, and the beginning of the race you will be refunded your fees minus the office fee. You must have a Medical or Vet Slip
NO SHOWS FORFIET ALL THEIR FEES.
Vet/ Medical Slips needs to be presented to the race secretary within 5 days after the race has been completed on the Vet’s/ Doctor’s business letterhead. No slips no refunds period.
Special situations may be considered by the race producer. Their decision is final. Office staff needs to be notified by either a text or email before the start of the Set you are entered in.
All refunds will be mailed 2 weeks after the race. (This allows checks to be processed through the bank account.)

Dress Code
Dress Code is encouraged, Photographer will be taking pictures, Dress code is a long sleeve western shirt and hat or helmet.
Payouts
70% of the entry fee and 100% of the added money will be paid out in a 5D format for open.
70% of the entry fee will be paid out in youth, senior and novice.
70% of the entry fee and 100% of added money will be paid out in a 2D format for the Futurity and Derby.
Payout places will be determined by the number of entries received.
Race Rules
A barrel down will result in no-time.
A broken pattern will result in a no-time.
An off-course run will receive a no-time. Any dismount, voluntary or un-voluntary while on course will result in a no-time.
The decision to award a time, or to post a no-time rests with an appointed “Arena Official” or show management. The ruling will be final.
Re- runs may be granted for timer or show equipment failure, or interference as determined by the “Arena Official”.
If a no-time situation occurs before the above – mentioned re-run reasons, the no-time will stand.
No re-runs will be granted for rider or equipment failure.
Re-runs can be run immediately, or if the rider chooses, they may run just after a “big rake”. Or at the end of the set. A Tractor drag will be done for the re-ride.
Poor Sportsmanship or abuse of a horse, other riders or race staff will not be tolerated. Offenders may be warned, or they may be asked to leave the facility at the discretion of show management. Rider will forfeit all entries, stall, office and other fees paid.
Rider has 60 seconds to enter the arena once your name has been called.
A horse that is out of control or a danger to other riders may be asked to leave with no refunds.
Any situation that is not covered by these rules will be addressed individually by the Arena Official and show management. The ruling will be final.
